Higher than average temperatures occurred in late winter and early spring, resulting in an earlier bud break and bloom. Colder temperatures in May (in the peak of bloom) caused uneven fruit set, which resulted in a smaller crop compared to previous years. However, good things come in small packages and our winemaking team was very pleased with the results from this small and early vintage.Ā "
