2021 Selbach-Oster Bernkasteler Graben GG
Country:Ā Germany
Region:Ā Mosel
Vintage:Ā 2021
Cépage: Riesling (100%)
Size: 750 ml
Rating(s): 94-96 (RP)
"Produced for the second time, the 2021 Bernkasteler Graben GG (formerly the source of the Badstube Auslese) was still on the full lees when I tasted a sample in July 2022, but it showed promising juicy, intense and clear fruit. Lush and refined on the palate, this is a lifted, saline and mouth-tickling, very elegant and refined Riesling from ungrafted vines about 100 years old. The finish is lemon bitter and fresh and reveals ripe but bright and radiant, crystalline acidity combined with fine tannins and wonderfully elegant and juicy fruit. Very, very elegant and stimulating in its lightness and complexity. 12% alcohol."
