The ChĆ¢teau des Antonins owes its name to the monks who occupied this old abbey for five centuries. These monks acquired their reputation throughout Europe by treating patients suffering from ergotism (epidemic of infected rye), also called St. Anthony fire or Holy fire. The Antonins healed their patients through the administration of healthier food, but talso secretly possessed a drink with extraordinary therapeutic virtues: The Saint Vinage, a miraculous beverage made from wine and aromatic plants. The ChĆ¢teau des Antonins takes root on the left bank of the Garonne, at the gates of Graves and Sauternes.
Ruby with purple reflections, the color enhances the youth of the wine.The expression of black fruit, toasted almond, vanilla and slightly smoky notes develops when swirling the wine in a glass. A powerful yet fleshy mouth with present tannins.
