Champagne Miniere F & R Brut Zero

Champagne Miniere F & R Brut Zero

Country: France

Region: Champagne

Vintage: NV

Cépage: Pinot Meunier (40%); Pinot Noir (37%); Chardonnay (23%)

Size: 750 ml

Rating(s): 93 (RP); 92 (JD)

" An excellent introduction to the producer’s style, Minière’s latest NV Brut Zéro is based on the 2019 vintage, incorporating 18% reserve wines from 2018 and 2017. Disgorged without dosage in September 2023, this cuvée is an equal blend of Pinot Noir (from the lieu-dit Les Fosselles), Chardonnay (from Les Fontenelles) and Pinot Meunier (from Les Couturelles), all sourced from vines planted in Hermonville in the 1970s and 1980s. Vinified in wood (with approximately 15% new oak) and largely without malolactic fermentation, it reveals aromas of pink grapefruit zest, toast and crisp peach, mingled with nuances of yellow fruits. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, vibrant and incisive, with tangy acidity and a long, mineral-driven, citrus-inflected finish."
